Description
The ultimate Kenyan Christmas dish! Its not Christmas unless this dish is on the table. We dry-salt brine our goat legs overnight with a herb mix and pre-bake them in our oven to get them juicy and tender. We then finish them over a charcoal grill to seal in that “nyama choma” flavor. Enjoy with our kachumbari.
*Unfortunately, the price of goat and lamb has gone up quite significantly in the last year due to the demand in the UAE and the ban by Australia and New Zealand to import their live animals to the UAE.ย How high you ask? So, high that a kilo of goat can retail anywhere from KES 900 to 1700!! I nearly fell off my chair. Our goats! We can’t even produce enough for them. This demand has driven a recent spike in thefts all around the country its terrible!ย Our neighbors at the farm have lost countless sheep and goats to thieves cashing in.
